Here's the back story on Bernie Wishnia's efforts to make possible a scanned copy of our yearbook.

Bernie learned that the town library received special grant funds to digitize yearbooks. The grant amount fell short of what was needed to complete the task and Mountain yearbooks were excluded from the mass scan. So, at our 50-year reunion Bernie reported I "... met with Hayden Moore, the principal of WOHS, and told him of the yearbook issue. He promised that he would help. I have not called him back yet, since I left him alone for the summer and then felt that he should be able to get settled in the new year. I will be contacting him in the next couple of weeks regarding WO Library scanning of WOMHS yearbooks."

In the fall, Bernie wrote a follow-up letter to the West Orange Public Library. Then on October 15, Bernie advised us of the library's response:

"Great news on our yearbook. I received a letter from the WO Lib that they will scan and digitize our yearbook. They also indicated that the cost was $95 and they asked for contributions to cover it. I have sent the library a check for $95. I would ask that anyone who wishes should also send a small sum - say $10 or $15 to the library as a thank you for scanning the WOMHS '64 yearbook. Had the lib not agreed, my next step really might have been a bit nasty. Since they have been so cooperative and so nice, we should make this a (slightly) profitable venture for the library."
