Neil Beighley. Upon graduation Neil attended Parson’s College for a fairly short while. Instead of continuing with college, he began work at a fairly small real estate firm headed by Robert Goldberg. Before too long it became one of the larger apartment management firms in New Jersey. At the Goldberg office he met Wayne Canastra, who is my brother in law. During this period we began acquiring apartment houses and communities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Neil and Wayne left the Goldberg office and formed their own management company, Affiliated Management around 40 years ago. Affiliated operates apartments in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania and office and industrial buildings in New Jersey. Affiliated is one of the largest and most respected operators of apartment properties in New Jersey. In our “old neighborhood” it manages properties in West Orange, South Orange, Millburn, Madison, Bloomfield, Montclair, Verona, Caldwell and West Caldwell.

Neil A. Beighley, 76, of Califon, passed away on January 14, 2023.
Relatives and friends are invited for visitation on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 4pm through 8 pm in the Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068, shookfarmer.com.
Born in Montclair, he grew up in West Orange, settled in Short Hills and has been a resident of Califon for the past 15 years. His work was his passion, being a principal of Affiliated Management in Livingston, NJ for over 40 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, friends, and family.
Pre-deceased by his parents, Albert and Elinore Beighley and his brother-in-law, Ted Gromosaik.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 38 years, Bernadette Beighley (nee Valeri); devoted children, Adam Beighley and his wife Laura, Kristi Beighley and her husband Tim Paul, and Courtney Peterson and her husband Jeff; cherished grandchildren, Mary Willow, Delaney, William, Mick, and Mollie; dear siblings, Lynn Gromosaik and Bruce Beighley and his wife Betty. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Cooperman-Barnabas Medical Center, specifically to Cardiac Services.
